MP133 shotgun pellet behaviour
Assigned, NormalPublic

Description

[0.63.149137]
I noticed the buckshot seems to have a weird limit. Someone must have made a typo on the air friction value and velocity.
It doesn't matter how high you aim, they all seem to fall short after a certain ~65m distance or vanish because of 3 second projectile TTL.

"Some values changed, they redid config for new system.
Shotgun pellets are now 8 pellets, 350 m/s and airFriction = -0.05.
If you pointed the gun up 45 degrees, these would go about 65 m, assuming the pellets didn't disappear before reaching the ground.
Since the velocity drops incredibly fast, these should hit like peas past point-blank range (at 50m they'd be going under fastball pitch speeds) but someone else can test how they work with new damage system.
Compared to your 'standard' 12 gauge 2-3/4" buckshot, it has low muzzle velocity, one less pellet, and waaaaay too high airFriction.
8 pellets and 1150 ft/sec is more appropriate for various low-recoil buckshot. But I'd rather they represented a normal full-power 12 gauge load.

More appropriate figures would be something like this:

pellets = 9
v0 = 360-400 m/s
airFriction = -0.008

Which would go over 300 m if you fire up in the air.

I didn't check the spread values and how they changed." -Gews

Behaviour of the pellets, notice it's 75m to the other side
