Starting Dayz on the Xbox causes the Xbox to rest itself if the previous session of day z wasn't fully terminated, ie. by using the home button to go to home screen and then switching off the Xbox. Next time you open day z the Xbox crashes and resets itself.

I knew it wasn't just me! I was so worried something was going wrong with my console!
Take note that I have had this happen with other applications and such as well, the biggest thing for me, is YouTube and Dayz.
If I try to switch between them, lets say to eat while watching something and take a break, it will cause the console to make the power off chime, then the screen will go black.
After a few seconds, the green xbox startup splash screen pops up, and the console has hard reset itself.
I'm assuming it's a bug in the actual console firmware, that's conflicting with the game in some way.
I only suggest this, because I can sometimes get the same problem messing around with other games and applications.
