Steps To Reproduce
- Hit play button in steam
1a. Select Offline mode
- Game displays loading screen
- Wait (~5mins)
- Game Hangs

I also tried to load via right click on Dayz in steam and selecting offline mode from the menu. Did not work.
Logged in and out of steam - did not work
Still need to try good ole reboot of machine.

Have you also experienced this issue in the online mode? Have you tried to verify the integrity of game cache? And can you try to remove the contents of your C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder and let us know if that had any effect on the issue?

I had not experienced this issue during online mode. It only became an issue in offline mode after the most recent stress test (#16?). Though i should say that i was not able to participate in the most recent stress test so i cant say whether it affected me during the online mode of stress test #16.
However i did, as you asked, verify integrity of the game cache. It found one file gone or corrupt and it acquired it again. Steam reset the game to stable version, I had to reenter the stress test code and download that version again in its entirety but it now works.
