Game freezes when I move my mouse
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Basically ever since Dayz 0.62 had the option to Launch in 2 different DirectX versions, the latest one made my whole game lag whenever I moved my mouse, wether I was in game or in the menu, I had a stable 60 FPS but any time I moved my mouse it went down to 2. I recently wanted to test 0.63 and the same exact issue popped up in the multiplayer version, on the Singleplayer offline test it worked fine.

I'm not sure what else to say, my FPS drops to 2 when I start moving my mouse, as long as I'm moving it it stays that way.

I have a GTX 1080, an i5 and 16GB ram so my PC shouldn't be the issue, I play games on a regular basis, I used to play DayZ a lot too and it never happened before.

Edit.: I'd like to add that my Nvidia Drivers are up to date and I've tried turning Vsync on and off, I also tried changing graphic settings.

Edit 2.: Running DayZ_x64.exe as an Admin solved the issue, but now every time I try to connect to a server my game crashes and restarts itself, without running as an admin and everything is freezing again when I move my mouse.

Edit 3.: Gave up after trying a billion things, verifying game cache and a bunch of other things and it doesn't work. Game crashes on joining a server if I run it as an admin, restarts running it normally and the mouse lag is there. I shut down everything on my PC and only had Steam and DayZ running, still did not work.

Hello gergo4961 and thank you for the report.
If you delete the contents of your C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\DayZ, run the game as admin and it crashes, are any .mdmp crash log files being generated?
Regards,
Geez

I found the solution yesterday but forgot to close or update this, basically I had to edit my mouse's polling rate from 500hz/1000hz to 250hz and it fixes this issue. Weird, because if I run it as an admin 500hz/1000hz isn't a problem but as I said above the game doesn't work in Admin mode. I consider this issue solved for now, hopefully in the future I'll be able to run it as an admin.

I don't know how to close this report, sorry lol.
