First, I spawned in and loaded both the IZH Rilfe and Makarov. I then killed and skinned a chicken and punched an infected to death and shot two others (swapped mags twice in this time on the Makarov). I then put on a red motorbike helmet and crafted and equipped a red armband and then killed myself with the IZH rifle. Following this, I was not able to respawn in-client (and when I hit exit I went to server browser) so I exited the game. I then reopened the game (offline again) and when I spawned in I was not able to move or use any buttons on my keyboard (numpad included), but I was able to right and left click. My mouse has buttons for numbers 1-7 and these did not work either. I have since loaded in 3 times and it has happened all 3 times.

I am unable to reproduce until I uninstall and reinstall.
Event Timeline
I am also having this issue and I haven't been able to even try out 0.63 at all. I tried reinstalling the game but with no luck.
I have found the solution to the problem. Disable your In-game steam overlay and you should be able to move again.

Are you experiencing this issue on the latest version as well when the overlay is turned on? And does the issue occur all the time when the overlay is on? Or only sometimes?

I am having the issue with the overlay not on. I have no keyboard or mouse input. This is both offline stress test and online. Dayz only. I just alt tab out and kill the game with task manager. Game starts correctly offline but once I am in-game, I lose complete keyboard and mouse interface. I I start the game online, the portal screen works normally. I choose options and servers etc perfectly. Once I am ingame, same problem. Up until yesterday, it was working great.

Not so far Geez. I wiped the dayz folder and did a complete install from scratch. So far, so good.
