dx11 error buffer Map faield - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED
New, NormalPublic

Description

Constantly getting this error, I've gotten it for the past 6 months non-stop ever since I got my GTX 980.

I have tried multiple solutions online, using a various number of drivers, only using 1 monitor, buying a new PSU, reinstalling Windows 10 x64 Enterprise.

931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 (SATA)

My game is installed on the Seagate drive, I used my SSD for the past 5 months and only recently changed to the Seagate drive, I've also used the Hitachi drive for a short period of time and experienced the problem there too.

I have ran the DXSETUP file from CommonRedist multiple times, and tried different drivers. I have also emailed the company that produces my GPU about this, since I believed it was their problem originally, but it seems not. I can provide those emails for context too if need be.

Here are two different dumps, and RPT's for those dumps, the generated crash dump from the launcher, and my ArmA 3 profiles - I use the [666]Lynxaa profile for gameplay

Hello.

Thank you for the report. Are you by any chance overclocking your GPU?

Lynxaa added a comment.EditedApr 10 2018, 4:44 AM

It;s overclocked out of the box. I have ran my GPU with -200 MHz and lowered voltage since I thought that was a problem - same results as described in my post.

Here's a picture of my GPU settings.

I've prioritized a GPU temperature limit of 70c due to the fact it would start having unpredictable results once reaching temperatures of 80c+

Just happened again, GPU is throttled to 70c
