I installed the CBA mod from a local directory (along with TFR, also local).
When I tried to add another mod, from the workshop, which required CBA, it notified me to install it with the workshop, which I did - this resulted in an exception, the application froze, later crashed on its own. The new mods I tried to install were DynaSound, Blastcore, Soundscape.
The operation (adding/downloading mods) was successful, even though the crash happened in the middle of it.
Upon restarting the launcher, everything worked fine, the new mods notification appeared, as it should, and the game launched fine.
Event Timeline
Hi!
It happened once, and I didn't bother trying to reproduce it.
I'm out of town for a week now, but if it helps with tracking the issue, I can try fiddling around with the launcher again next weekend.
Yes, it would help a lot to know if this issue occurs regurlarly. We would be very grateful.
Sorry for the delay, I couldn't get around to messing with the launcher until now.
It seems to have been a one time issue, I couldn't reproduce it in a few tries.
I'm guessing Steam's workshop management plays a role as well, I'm not sure if unsubscribing removes all mod related files, and if re-subscribing ends up being the same process as a first-time subscription.
Maybe more testing would yield some answers, but I don't really have that much time nowadays, so I'm gonna leave everything as it is.
