The Steam client does not seem to recognize there is a newer version available than the one I have installed, and will not download the newer version. I see in the Steam preferences for Arma 3 that I am subscribed to the "legacyports" in the Betas tab, which correctly lists the 1.76 as the latest. I have already ran the verify integrity of local game files routine. How do I force Steam to update the game to version 1.76?

Hello.
You should not use legacyports if you are using Mac or Linux. Legacyports branch is meant just for Windows and only for people with Windows so that they could connect to the Mac version and vice versa.

That fixed it. Although I remember someone from BI telling me to use the legacyports to fix something or other a year or so ago... can't remember what it was.
