Since the latest update (1.78), pings can no longer be seen on the map, even with mapContentPing set to 1 (enabled).

Steps To Reproduce
Set the 'mapContentPing' difficulty setting to 1, and then ping somewhere before opening the map. You will notice that you can't see the ping marker on the map.
