had a fully loaded sks and when i painted it black, all of the bullets vanished. tried to shoot zombies a couple of minutes later but gun didn't shoot. didn't realise gun was empty beforehand because there was no indication that the bullets had vanished. I then checked to make sure gun was loaded or that it wasn't jammed by trying to eject the round. nothing. and then i tried and was able to load 10 more bullets.
