Z fighting issues
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I'm experiencing some pretty horrendous z fighting when using a scope. I've only recently come back to DayZ (.62) and this is the first time I have had this problem. I have scoured the net trying to find a solution to this and alas, I have as of yet found nothing. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Hello martydunlop and thank you for the report.
Have you tried to change the video settings if that has any effect on the issue? And if not, can you try to remove the contents of your C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder and let us know if you still experience the issue?
Regards,
Geez

Hi,

Thanks for such a swift reply. I've tried changing every graphical setting and removed my .DayZprofile from the documents folder and unfortunately nothing worked. I will go ahead and remove all files from the folder to see if it helps at all and ill get back to you.

So I removed all files from the DayZ folder in my documents and the z fighting still persists.

I changed the preferredObjectViewDistance from its default value of 1375.8242 to 1800. Z fighting still persists.
I changed the sceneComplexity from its default value of 1000000 to 2000000, and again, no change.

Hello martydunlop.
Are all your drivers up to date? Do you launch the game with any launch parameters? (If so, remove them as they are not supported and cause various issues within the game). And do you remember when have you started to experience this issue approximately? (Or when was the last time you have played and the issue was not present in the game?).

Geez

Hi,

All of my drivers are up to date, as is my OS and I dont use any launch parameters. As far as when I started to experience this issue, it was as soon as I recently installed DayZ. I havent played for a year or so and only recently started playing again.

Hello martyndunlop.
We have confirmed the issue during our internal testing and the issue has been scheduled for a fix. Unfortunately, there is no fix you could apply yourself to improve the behaviour of the issue, as the issue is on our side.
