When binding the fireaxe to a hotkey from the hotbar (1-0), TAKING it to your hands works fine, while moving or stopped. When trying to press the number that the fireaxe is binded to (example-4) the fireaxe will not REMOVE from the hands onto back unless you are still. I have tried holding different keys and standing still and the fireaxe removes to back fine, but as soon as w,a,s,d is held while pressing the designated slot number, the fireaxe will not remove from hands.
