Repeated crashes with STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Description

Games runs for a while, time varies between long and short runs, then crashes with the access violation message. I am getting the same crash with Argo.

PC config is: i5-7600K (no overclock), Asus Strix Z270I mboard, Geforce GTX 1080Ti 12Gb video, WD 512GB SSD, Swiftpoint Z mouse.

I've run Memtest for some time with no errors, I run X-plane with no errors.

Hello.

Thank you for the report. Can you please tell us what you are doing when the crash happens? Are you playing singleplayer or multiplayer are you in the editor?

Also, have you tried some of these possible solutions?

  • Update the graphics card drivers to a newer version.
  • Rollback the graphics card drivers to an older version.
  • Check the temperature of your GPUs and CPUs.
  • Verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
  • Re-install DirectX.
  • Uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (both x86 and x64 version), restart your computer and install the package again (do not use the Repair function).
  • Run a Windows System File Check tool to repair corrupted system files.
