From where were you attempting to drag and drop the weapon? (from inventory or vicinity?) And do you remember if you have done any specific set of actions prior to the issue appearing? (Such eating food cans and similar).

Do you remember by any chance, if you have used the morphine quickly after another consumable and if there has been some kind of error message in the bottom left corner of the screen stating something such as "Cannot Remove Item From Your Hands"?
