melee kill on infected causes a walking bug
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

This happened to me two times in a row now, previous patch and now the current one. Others have reported the same issue on the forum.

I kill an infected with a melee weapon (machete and pointy stick) and after I can not walk normal any more, very choppy, almost as if a Z is hanging on my leg :) I can sprint normally but walking gets bugged. There seems to be nothing I can do to get to a normal walking state (crouching, prone, jump)

Kill an infected with a melee weapon.

Additional Information

I said reproducibility is always, I am not actually sure about that, in my case it happened both times I melee killed an infected without other melee kills in between them.

This issue also happened to me after killing a guy in a melee fight. He was using a pitcfork and I was using a sledgehammer

Update: in the latest patch so far I have not experienced this bug after melee killing about 6 infected. Not sure though if that means the bug is gone and I also don't know if a fix has been deployed in the latest patch.

Maybe others can share their experience in the latest patch.
