.62 Experimental - x32 bits client - General audio feedback

Description

Hello,

Thank you for your amazing work. The version is already awesome.

Just a simple feedback on audio. I am currently not able to record/upload the audio I'm talking about. I have experienced it in fields and forests in coastal areas, at night (the only regions and times I was able to play at).

The general feeling is that of a rainforest. The first parallel coming to my mind is the Apex/Tanoa Audio in forests. According to me (I don't pretend to hold truth), this ambiance does not fit a region like chernarus.

To me, this rainforest ambiance comes from 3 main factors:

  1. Birds types (which, apart from the owl and sparrows, seem taken from tropical jungles)
  2. Bird sounds level (which may be a bit to high)
  3. Cricket sound presence and level (which may be a bit to high - this can be related to season)

I'm open to debate, don't hesitate to share your input.

Hello Tartine and thank you for the feedback.
The audio system is still going through some tweaks internally, these tweaks should address the second and third factors you have mentioned. As for the first factor you mention, we are certain that there are no sound files of tropical birds as we made sure only birds living in europe were used.

Hello Geez,

Well, for these birds, that was more of a general "Tanoa" impression. Nothing specific.

Thanks for your awesome work!
