I've noticed twice that items that have the ruined status look like they are damaged. So far this has happened with a sewing kit and an M65 jacket.

  1. Use the sewing kit
  2. Once it is ruined check to see if it appears to be damaged or pristine
  1. Shoot whoever is wearing the M65 jacket
  2. Once it is ruined check to see if it appears to be damaged or pristine
