Currently the game only supports throttle systems that have only positive values on their axis of motion. Some throttles (like the Thrustmaster FCS) have half negative and half positive values on their axis and this causes some weird interactions with the game.
When flying jets for example only half of the throttle motion is recognised; with the throttle fully backwards if you start pushing on it the engine will turn on but nothing will happen until you reach halfway and hit the positive values and at that point the thrust will start to go up rapidly. This makes it particularly hard to fly jets or helicopters for that matter as it's nearly impossible to hover mid air because as soon as you push the throttle a little bit away from centre the collectives will start to go up or down very rapidly.

Hello,
could you please send me (describe or screenshot) your thrust configuration in the control settings?
Logitech Attack 3 USB Has an axis with negative and positive values. A similar problem. A small change in the position of the axis Z + \ - sharply changes the thrust from 0 to 100%.
I changed the keys in places, and it all worked well.
Try to assign both + and - Z axis inputs in the analogue thrust, you should be then able to use the thrust stick with its whole range
Use "Stick Z + Axis" to increase traction, and "Stick Z-Axis" to reduce traction. Or vice versa, swap places.
Thrust from 0 to 100% and from 100 to 0% can be changed by both options, and does not depend on what manipulator is used.
The analogue variant differs only in that the key must be fixed in a certain position. Use the keyboard for analog traction - hard for traction control. It is beneficial to use a manipulator for analogue traction control. But the manipulator works well, and can duplicate the keyboard control of the thrust, but the analogue should be left blank.
Dude you don't understand. "Analogue" means that it's supposed to accept values between a certain range NOT just 0 and 1. The "Increase thrust" option on the other hand is only supposed to accept 0 and 1 values EG when you press a key on the keyboard. The whole point of this post is that the "Thrust (Analogue)" option only accepts positive values EVEN if you bind both Z+ and Z- to it.
I always get any value of thrust from 0 to 100%, I change the position of the manipulator from 0 to Z +. This should work identically on analog tuning, and on keyboard tuning.
Well it's not really supposed to work like that but if that fixes it I'm gonna try it
It was suggested to me and I tried that but it doesn't work with this controller. I'm trying to follow Lex's suggestion but after the last update the game doesn't even recognize the controller.
I correctly understood, you do not see your controller here?
I had such that the controller settings were visible in the management, but did not work. I deactivated and activated the controller in the game. Then he set up all the keys again, and deleted the old keys.
Sorry for bumping this after a while but today I checked again and the controllers seem to be working after this patch. The method suggested by Lex doesn't work for this throttle meanwhile the method suggested by razazel of binding both to the analogue worked. Can I know what settings you use for the helicopters razazel?
Sorry for bumping this after a while
No problem, glad to hear it's working :) Should you encounter any more problems, please let me know :)
