Unable to attach doors/hood to V3S
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Driving a damaged V3S I can across another V3S in a town. I decided to see what parts could be salvaged to repair the one I was driving.

Finding a pristine condition hood, I removed the damaged hood from my V3S, grabbed the pristine one from the other truck, but then found that there was no way to attach the new hood to my truck.

I tried dragging and dropping into the vehicle parts bar. I tried holding the hood in hands and looking all over where the hood would be placed on the truck, but no action option appeared. Started trying this with the doors and the same issue occurred.

I later discovered that parts can be swapped with no problem. When I elected to swap doors it happened just fine, however, once a part (door/hood) is removed from a V3S (haven't tried this with other vehicles) it cannot be attached again.

My truck is naked now! XD

Hello j.lawrence.omar and thank you for the report.
Was the hood you have attempted to attach in different color than your v3s is?

Geez

Hi Geez,

Yes, it was a different colour. However, I was unable to re-attach any and all of the original parts as well. Additionally, I was able to hot-swap the different coloured parts between vehicles with no issue.

Hello j.lawrence.omar.

I was unable to re-attach any and all of the original parts as well.

Was this by drag and drop or have you also tried to attach them through the action on the vehicle?

Regards,
Geez

Tried both drag and drop, and via in hands action. Neither would work. Re-logged and tried it again in case there was an action bug, but still no joy.
