1 fps, audio shattering, unplayable

Description

I got this bug before but could not reproduce it. Today it happened to me again.

Version: Stable 0.61.138043

What happened?
Ran into the 2 tents, east from Gorka. Ran through the last tent and on the street it happened. Game froze, after 10 seconds, the images moves 1 fps and the sound is there for 1 second. Then again 3 seconds nothing. After that it repeats like before.

The image shows the state before closing the game via the taskmanager - nothing special

I can only close the game via the task-manager because the menu is also just with 1 fps available. I closed the game and restarted it. (everything in x64 client). Menu was fine with ~90fps. Joined the same server (private, nearly full). Waited for spawn about 10 seconds. Than "please wait" for 30 seconds, and boom, again 1fps.

The image shows the state after joining the game, its like the first frame of the game I saw (for nearly 10 seconds)

Same procedure - taskmanager - killed the game - opened again - this time 32bit client. Rejoined the same server and everything worked fine. Full fps again.

Hardware specs:
Intel core i5-6500
Geforce GTX 1060 3GB
16 GB ddr4 ram
Windows 10

Additional Info:
When closing the game via the taskmanager i got 35% CPU and 45% RAM workload.

Hello Havrin and thank you for the report.
Are you running the game with any startup parameters? And can you post a screenshot of your video settings?
Regards,
Geez

Hey Geez,

thanks for the fast reply.
No, I don't use any startup parameters.

Here is the screen of my video settings.

Also I remember, that I played on experimental (64bit) before. I closed the game, switched back to stable, waited for the update to finish and started on 64bit again and joined a server on stable version. Maybe that info helps.

Havrin

Hello,

I have been facing the same issues. Like Havrin, I was playing on experimental before. Also, the issues occurred exclusively in tisy military so far.

Restarting the game sometimes (not always) helped temporarily.

After a few restart/reboot cycles it stopped.

Specs:

  • Intel Core i5 6600K
  • Geforce FoundersEdition GTX 1070
  • HyperX FURY HX421C14FBK2/16 16GB

Hello Havrin and Maeximus.
Are you experiencing this issue also on the 0.62 experimental version?
Regards,
Geez

Hey Geez,

no, not at this rate. I played probably 10-15h on .62 and it did not occur once. But I had some freezes for 1 second.
So instead of 1fps and sound shattering, I got a 0.5 to 1 second freeze every 10-15 seconds for 2-3 minutes. But this occured to me only once and I cannot reproduce it, so I didn't open a ticket for it.
Things like mentioned in this ticket, did not happen to me again.

Regards,
Havrin
