While using a Suppressor NATO on an M4, the suppressor wore down from badly damaged to ruined in just a few shots. That is understandable if it was already damaged enough. Then again, found another nato suppressor and it wore down from worn to damaged to badly damaged again in just a few shots (talking about maybe 20 rounds fired), almost like and improvised suppressor would break. Seems pretty damn fast wear down rate to me. Probably not intentional to make the suppressors basically single-use? One combat situation would wreck a suppressor completely with that pace.

The suppressor degradation is affected by the bullet quality, just like the weapon. Do you remember by any chance what was the quality of your bullets? And can you try again with pristine only rounds and let us know if the suppressor degrades this quickly even with only pristine ammo?

I'm afraid I had filled the magazines so long ago I have no idea in which condition the bullets were in the first place. I had no idea their quality affects the wear down rate of the suppressor. My current nato suppressor is badly damaged and used quite a bit so probably going to break down soon regardless of the ammo. If I find another, will test and report back.
