Has this issue occurred on any of the recent experimental/stable versions or is this an older screenshot?

Yes, it is a bit old, happened on december 23:rd.

There are other graphichs glitches too - some which looks like they are caused by delayed loading of textures. Very often roots, stubs/stumps are white or electric blue when watched from a distance. Sometimes they flicker a bit before becoming normal.

The issue with the leaf piles has been fixed couple of months ago and should not appear in the game any more. The issue with the tree trunks/stumps is known and is currently being worked on.
