I can concur to this.
I did not notice at first I lost my magazine when painting the Sporter, and thought I had lost one when cleaning up my backpack. (I had two 30 rounds .22LF mags, one in gun and one in backpack)
So, you need to remember to disassemble the guns before you put any paint on it, even the ammo just to be sure.
