Arma 3 Multi-Monitor Support Issue
Reviewed, NormalPublic

Description

I bring my system between two different locations, at one location I have a triple monitor setup with 1600x900 monitors with a total surround resolution of 4800x900. The issue that I am having is when switching from this wide resolution with the aspect ratio of 16:3 to a normal 16:9 the menu UI and in game graphics stay at that wide aspect ratio. With the current in game settings you are only allowed to change the resolution NOT the aspect ratio. Before the new APEX menu UI and settings were released the old video settings allowed for a direct change in aspect ratio, this was not an issue when the aspect ratio was allowed to be changed manually.

When I launch my game with nvidia surround enabled the game starts up with the menu being in the appropriate aspect ratio of 16:3, but when I disable surround and relaunch the game the menu aspect ratio stays at the 16:3 aspect ratio and sometimes prevents me from being able to access the video settings. I have attached images of the issue with my 1920x1080 monitor. Changing the resolution in the user config does not solve this issue. I have been pulling my hair out to try to figure this out and cant seem to find a solution.

  1. Establish a 16:3 aspect ratio with surround.
  2. Launch the game and change the video resolution to the appropriate 16:3 ratio
  3. Exit game and disable surround.
  4. Restart game

Once surround is disabled the aspect ratio of the menu should be stuck at the surround state.

Hi, @Speedrookie
Try to configure your display settings in conflig file. It should work.
c:\Users\****\Documents\Arma 3\Arma3.cfg

@Alwin Tried that. The only option in the .cfg file is to change the resolution. Even changing the resolution still keeps the aspect ratio and doesnt fix the issue.
