When I search for experimental, my search tag always gets cleared the next time the browser window is opened.
You don't need to end the game for this to occur.
The old browser remembered the last search.
It also does not remember the last characters that were used during the last time the game was run.
Once you have played on a server and exit the server the character select now shows up, but you can't view the character.

We have confirmed the issue with the search bar and it has been scheduled for a fix. As for the game menu not remembering your characters correctly, can you check if the contents of your C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ are not set as "read only"? And if not, can you try removing the contents and let us know if the issue persists?

I created new Dayz file and the character menu is the same. The files were not read only.
The game menu does remember your character as long as you don't end the game client. It shows character0 or character1.
You should be able to rename the character0.
When you leave the browser you can see your character in the Dayz scene.
When you exit the client and then restart the Dayz client there is no character displayed.
In the browser it does not know of character0 or character1. It will get the character0 only after the game client connects with a server of that character type.

PS this is in experimental version 0.61.137302
The browser match current version is checking only for 0.61. It is not checking the full version number 0.61.137302.
Because both stable and experimental versions are 0.61, all stable and experimental versions show in the server window.

We have confirmed the issue with characters not saving correctly in the server browser and it has been scheduled for a fix.
