My game will consistently Crash so long as my USB Turtle Beach headset is plugged in. When I play with the sound routed to my monitor the game works flawlessly.

Hi, @stonecold913
Sometimes headphones cause a second instance of the audio drivers to run and they get all confused. Reinstall the drivers and then see if there are two instances of them running after you plug in your headset using the device manager.
Also you can try to delete your profile folder (create a backup) a try to start the game.
The file yourprofilename.vars.Arma3Profile must be deleted.
Path: C:\Users\*username*\Documents\Arma 3
I reinstalled the drivers and got further into the drawdown campaign. Until I reached the point where you take control of the UAV. the moment the UAV spun up the game crashed.
tried again for the same point in the game crash only this time I received an out of memory crash Crash image
@stonecold913 It´s interesting that you have crash caused by out of memory with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080. Honestly, it´s not guarantee of better performance. I assume that you have 16 GB RAM.
Try these solutions:
- Re-install graphic drivers
- Run Arma 3>Open Task Manager>Check how many processes is running in same time and close unnecessary ones.
- Re-install Arma 3
- Decrease game graphic quality
- Disable V-Sync function
- Try play in Fullscreen windowed mode or just in Windowed mode
- Run antivirus and delete harmful programms
- Try to plug in your GPU via HDMI instead DVI cable
- Delete all your missions (make backup) and return them back
- Delete your profile (make backup) and return it back
Here is the list of commons ACCESS VIOLATION solutions:
0xC0000005 - ACCESS_VIOLATION
This error is very generic. It may be caused by many issues, such as a hardware malfunction, a virus in the computer, but also an error in the game itself. Possible solutions:
- Try joining another server, then rejoin the previous one.
- Update the graphics card drivers to a newer version.
- Rollback the graphics card drivers to an older version.
- Check the temperature of your GPUs and CPUs.
- Verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
- Re-install DirectX.
- Uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (x86 version), restart your computer and install the package again (do not use the Repair function).
- Run a Windows System File Check tool to repair corrupted system files.
Let me know how it went
the out of memory error was a fluke. I think the real issue is something to do with the audio drivers or the way that AMRA handles audio. I continued to get crashes all day. It only happens when i have the audio piped through the usb sound of my headset. if i pipe it through any other audio device then the game plays fine.
I´ve checked your callstacks and there is something with your Kernelbase.dll which allow multiple software programs to share the same function.
Some programms cause deleting KernelBase.dll so check if you still have it in your PC, if not, download it. I don´t recommend you to download it from non official servers because DLL from there should contain harmful viruses. You can download it directly from Microsoft.
Errors KernelBase.dll may be associated with damage or outdated of device drivers. Drivers can be one day operate without a problem and the next day not. The good news is that you can always upgrade the device driver to solve the problem DLL.
Anyway, we´ll investigate your issue. Don´t worry.
Thank you
