STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I have recently been unable to open Arma 3. Just yesterday, all was well. I have been playing through the campaign, and have played very little multiplayer. When I attempt to launch Arma, I get an error code entitled: 0x0000005 status_access_violation.

I have googled this issue and found that it is relatively popular. Though I had many forums to look through, none of the solutions worked for me. One such solution involved adding -malloc=system into the launching parameters. This, as well, did not work. I also tried verifying the integrity of the game files via steam. This did not work.

This issue inhibits my ability to play the game. At this moment, I can no longer play Arma 3.

@mooseinahoose, have you tried all of the possible solutions listed here?

0xC0000005 - ACCESS_VIOLATION
This error is very generic. It may be caused by many issues, such as a hardware malfunction, a virus in the computer, but also an error in the game itself. Possible solutions:

• Try joining another server, then rejoin the previous one.
• Update the graphics card drivers to a newer version.
• Rollback the graphics card drivers to an older version.
• Check the temperature of your GPUs and CPUs.
• Verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
• Re-install DirectX.
• Uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (x86 version), restart your computer and install the package again (do not use the Repair function).
• Run a Windows System File Check tool to repair corrupted system files.

This is the report file. There are no driver updates for any of my hardware, no changes have been made to my pc, I cannot "join another server" because I cannot open the game. I do not believe this problem to be coming from my hardware or software. I feel this is a fault on Bohemia's part.

Could you please check out this folder on your PC to see if there are any MDMP files present?

have you tried disabling Battleye in the launcher

Could you please check out this folder on your PC to see if there are any MDMP files present?

I checked and found none. Am I simply looking for a dump file? If so, I am not finding one

Could you please try to switch to the development or profiling branch?
