(0.61.136562) Client forced into 1.33x of set graphics resolution
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

I noticed really low fps compared to previous experimental builds. After quitting the game, the values for render width and height are set higher than normal leading to performance issues due to 1.33x supersampling forced by the game.

These are the values written into dayz.cfg after exiting the game:

Render_W=2553;
Render_H=1436;
Resolution_W=1920;
Resolution_H=1080;

Hello buuky and thank you for the report.
The render_w and render_h values do not affect the rendering resolution in the game and the higher value should not be something to be concerned about. However, could you go more into detail about the lowered fps on the current experimental build? What were your previous fps values in the experimental builds and what are they now? Have you noticed any increased resource usage in the newer build? Are you using any startup parameters? Can you try removing the cfg files and let us know if that has changed anything about be behaviour of the issue?
Regards,
Geez

Hi Geez,

thanks for your response. I have tracked down the issue to CPU throttling on my end. FPS are mostly back to 0.60 values for me if it wasn't for occasional frame drops down to like 10 frames that happen randomly.

Also in cities like Severograd the game feels "stuttery" even though the frame counter is in the 30-40s.

I have deleted and recreated all my cfg files and I am not using any startup parameters.

Best,
buuky
