Go in arsenal.
Take a large backpack.
Take an AT launcher.
Put an ammo in the backpack.
Close the arsenal.
Open your inventory.
Note the weight carried.
Put the ammo in the launcher.
Note the weight, the weight of the ammo is doubled.
The same is true for every weapon (thanks commy2_)
Event Timeline
Its crazy how much the weight increases when loading an empty Titan AT. Kinda broken when playing AT guy with weight maxed out when you have to walk around after loading first missile
This is still happening after 1.68. The changelog for the update said "Fixed: Inventory weight of loaded magazines was doubled (https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/143930-general-discussion-dev-branch/?page=862#comment-3147196)", but weight is still being doubled when a magazine is loaded into a weapon.
Any actual fix for this?
Hello,
thank you for the feedback.
The bug itself should be fixed, if you check the load values via script, it should show correct values. Unfortunately it seems the Inventory UI is still bugged. We are looking into this issue already.
Magazine weight is still being doubled when loaded, even after 1.70 update. Happens with launchers, rifles, pistols, etc.

This causes frustration when outfitting players/AI with launchers. Especially with things like RHS's or TF47's SMAW; I can't justify using it because the weight doubling means that a standard-equipped soldier can only carry one round.
Still an issue after 1.82. I wouldn't think it's such a hard issue to fix, especially considering an update caused it. Any status update?
