0.60/61 - No servers show up after adjusting ping option / server name in the server browser filter.
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

Title. After waiting for few minutes, 1 server pops up. If I revert it back how it was, it still doesn't find anything. Restarting the game fixes this issue but it will just reappear when doing it again. This is highly irritating if I try to join friend's game.

This same issue happened back in 0.60 and it did not happen in past versions.

If I reset the filter, it will happen again also.

Checking the other options will not cause this issue. I have also on Steam set the max pings to 5000.

Steps To Reproduce

Move the ping slider and refresh the server browser or uncheck the ping option and no servers appear ever again unless you restart the game.

Additional Information

After I had resetted the filter and restarted the game, I set the ping to 500 and it was able to find servers. However, when I adjusted it again to other value, it bugged out again and could not find anything, not even when setting it back to 500.

It takes about minute and a half for it to find 1 single server that has a ping lower than 100 ms after it gets bugged out.

Hello _M4Z_TeR_ and thank you for the report.
Can you try doing the following and let us know if the issue still persists?

  • Go to the steam directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
  • Go to the userdata folder
  • There are folders (or one folder) with numbers in their name
  • These folders should contain folder named "7"
  • Open the 7 folder and in it find a folder called "remote"
  • Open the remote folder and delete serverbrowser_hist.vdf
  • Do this for all the "7" folders (only applies if you have more than one number folder)

Regards,
Geez
