When opening books from the hotbar only the text of the title appears and pages read 1/0

Find Book
Place book in hotbar
Select corresponding number in hotbar
Book opens but only displays title and pages read 1/0 (See screen shot)

Unsure whether this was taken out on purpose for the time being.
