Player model gets stretched in various ways when there is desync/lag
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When there is desync/lag in 0.61, I get an effect that the game is changing the aspect ratio multiple times until the desync/lag is over. I think this doesn't happen every time, but only when the lag is severe.

This was in build 135896.
Also, after watching it in 0.25 speed, I've realized that it's only the player model that gets stretched, not the whole picture.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Go to third person view
  2. Have severe desync/lag (I'm not sure if only severe causes it, but I had it happen during a very bad lag)
  3. The player model gets stretched multiple times
  4. After the lag/desync, the aspect ratio of the player model goes back to normal.

Event Timeline

I think I have some insight. The issue seems to be based on desync with a server thinking a door is closed and it is open for the client. If you run into the building, it triggers the stretching desync. I have only seen this bug when entering a building.

I think it happens after ~50 minutes of playtime. I just had it after the second time of playing more than 50 minutes.
Lag becomes more and more severe, until my character's movement becomes jittery, and then after ~15 more minutes it gets so severe that the aspect ratio starts acting up.
