Arma 3 randomly crashing and becoming not responsive in Task Manager.

Hi

A few weeks back my arma 3 started playin up. I would launch the game and it would show NOT RESPONDING in task manager and then after waiting a while it would enter into the main menu, once i was able to locate the server i play i could launch the game and it would take a long as time to load (about 5 min, normal times is about 1 min). After finally getting into a game it would then randomly freeze (sometiems black screen other times it would jsut display the last image ingame), and show not responging in task manager. I would then need perform an End Task command before restarting the game and this whole ugly mess would start again. My game was not doing this prior to about 2 weeks ago.
I am running Arma with Exile mod and attempting to play online.

Spec: i7 -5820K (not OC)
16gm Ram
64bit WIN10 PRO
nVidia GTX 970 EVGA

I have tried (in order):

  1. Verify game cache of Arma (via Steam)
  2. Verify Mods (via A3 Launcher)
  3. Rollback Grapgics gard drivers (they were the msot recent change) (manually uninstall all things nvidia and then disconnext from the internet manually install old driver)
  4. Delete and manually add Battle eye .dll's
  5. Delete mission file folder.
  6. Delete arma steam file and redownload
  7. Delete mods and redownload
  8. Delete MY DOCUMENTS arma 3 file.

@lefteartm, could you prepare and upload a troubleshooting report for the developers to see?

  1. Start the Arma 3 launcher.
  2. Click "OPTIONS."
  3. Click "Prepare Arma 3 troubleshooting report...".
  4. Save the report.
  5. Upload it by dragging and dropping into the comment box.

If you have trouble uploading the file to the feedback tracker then try uploading it to a file sharing service such as Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Mega, et cetera and then link to it here.

Hello,

did you also try to run the vanilla game, without any mods?

Hi Razazel, Yea i ran it in canilla too and it appeared to hold stable for abotu 20 min but i had too shot of test tie eto tell.

I have checked the reports and the latest rpt indicates that you actually ran it with the mods, please try to run the game without any mods.

Thanks for the dumps, unfortunately they have not been of much help, there are no crash dump files present BIDMP and MDMP (might be worth checking for them manually).

The basic.rpt shows following error

That leaves the Steam Overlay disabling as one of options.
