Memory Crash in Multiplayer Only
Reviewed, NormalPublic

Description

Since the Apex update I have been having a peculiar issue where I will get into a multiplayer server, play for about 30 minutes, and then get a sudden freeze for about 5 seconds where half the objects in scene disappear, leaving the rest in super downscaled resolution and rendering at 3fps (yes not 30, but 3 fps). I have tried:

  • memory and cpu configurations through the Arma Launcher and through third party software
  • overclocking gpu and cpu, downclocking gpu and cpu
  • redownloading and on different harddrives/solidstatedrives
  • playing with mods, playing without mods
  • playing on all graphics settings from highest to lowest
  • Rolling back to previous graphics driver, tried beta driver (clean installs)

I am stuck on what the problem is. Note that this does not happen when I play singleplayer, only multiplayer. Have been trying to debug this issue myself for a couple weeks now. Hopefully someone here can try and diagnose the problem.

@Ted, could you upload the whole troubleshooting report (.zip file)? It will contain the above files plus other important files such as arma3.rpt and arma3.mdmp.

I get an error that says "No configured storage engine can store this file"

I uploaded the zip file to dropbox. Anyone can see it here

UPDATE: Just noticed I can change the memory allocation method through the launcher in Parameters tab. So far it seems the Intel TBB 4 allocatar gives me the longest play time before the crash happens, but also gives me the worst in game performance in terms of FPS.
