[Suggestion] Add a significant and realistic bullet hit shock effect to body animation
Reviewed, NormalPublic

Description

Hello devs & community,

So I just wanted to share with you an idea a bunch of friends and I had about gunfights.

We were thinking that, something major that was missing to DayZ right now is a more realistic behaviour of the character when in combat : stress, adrenaline, reaction to suppressive fire and shock animation when being hit by a bullet. This last point is extremely important, according to us.

So, when you're running, fighting, aiming, shooting or doing whatever and you get hit by a bullet, your body reacts :

  1. Because of the kinetic energy transfer from the bullet to the body ;
  2. Because of the nervous shock being hit by a bullet represents.

This is actually well represented by the zombie animation, when they get hit by a player (they stumble).

So, we were thinking that this would be an extremely realistic and interesting combat feature to implement, especially with the upcoming animation system.

On the other side, we were thinking about a Red Orchestra/Rising Storm like suppressive fire reaction from the character (blurred and black/white screen, character breathing heavily).

What do you think ?
