I have been experiencing not getting sick if i do it a different way, instead of drinking directly from the pond with my hands.
I use the water bottle to fill up then drink the water bottle.

Really a no brainier, i may have been looking at it all wrong, but so far i have not gotten sick doing it this way, where as before using my hands it did have a chance.

To catch a sickness from the water, player character has to be low on health / blood. Please check on a character that is low on health / blood.
