I think it was invisible zombies.

Same experience on our private hive server and at the NWA ! Behind the two blue industrial buildings at the North West of the airfield...

We do have invis infected, zombies whatever. Seems to glitch out, even while playing normal.
Same with the weapon desync in the hands.
But it was actually dropped, then an infected goes invis.

I believe it isn't client as much as it is server.

Playing in a group of 4 at Myshy tents, a players began being hit. There was no zombie audio, punching noises were audible though. Unknown cause began to hit multiple players, and actually followed for quite a way on our retreat. Shooting into the general area was useless as well.

However i don't know if this is desync or cheating.

I can clarify to geez that, i have witnessed it on a low pop Brazilians possible esp injector again. Or never left, i don't know don't care at this point.

It is very possible, but you would hear infected sounds and i dont hear a darn thing.

I would guess, it is possible someone had invis Otherwise chalk it up as an invis desync issue with the infected.

But you always hear an infected sound if it is infected.

Did it show memory error afterwards?? logging off or did you see anything like warping back to a last known spot??

The hits sounded like zombie slashing noises. No other zombie noises heard (at least not from the invisible zombie). Also no shots, punching or axe hits heard. Stopped to bandage a couple hundred meters away and returned to NW tents without encountering him again.
