SUGGESTION: Make "Kashtan" AK-style scope optics range adjustable
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

DISCLAIMER: I have limited experience with scopes and zeroing - this is a suggestion I thought of after using this optic in-game.

Currently, the "Kashtan" optic for AK-style rifles is not adjustable, and auto-zeroes at 400m. I am suggesting that it be allowed to use adjustable range using the PG UP and PG DN features, like other optics use (ex., ACOG, PSO-1-1, etc.).

Steps To Reproduce

1 - Locate an AK-style rifle compatible with the "Kashtan" optic.
2 - Locate a "Kashtan" optic
3 - Mount the Kashtan on the rifle, your rifle range will automatically be set to 400m.
4 - Attempt to adjust range up or down - and note that you are unable to.
5 - Dismount the Kashtan optic and note your iron-sight range is listed as 400m
6 - You can now adjust range appropriately.

Additional Information

ISSUE SUMMARY:
The current optic behavior is technically (realistically) correct. However, with M4-style rifles, a variety of optics will allow for setting range manually (PG UP / PG DN function), allowing a greater degree of flexibility when placing shots - especially in close quarters. This functionality, the ability to range-adjust optics, should be extended to the "Kashtan" AK optic to allow AK users the same flexibility. This optic would make a great close/mid range optic should this functionality be added.

Hello DrBlizzard and thank you for your suggestion.
The Kashtan scope in game does not have adjustable optics range due to its real-life counterpart not having it either. For that reason we do not plan to add the option to adjust its range through pgup/pgdown.
