Last time I was at lake to swim (to help solve overheating), I undressed completely and left all my gear on the dry ground. Went into water, enjoyed swimming, got "drenched", came back out of water, put all the gear back on me and it went all wet too even never touched the water. (No rain, nothing marked "damp" previously of course, placed good 2 meters away from water)
