Excessive Alpha Dithering on Trees and Grass When Alpha to Covarage is Enabled (0.60 Exp)

Description

In 0.60 experimental (latest version as of 14-06-2016) when Alpha to Coverage is enabled for all trees and grass, depending on the angle of sun, a very noticable and excessive dithering effect occurs. Trees have vertical and horizontal purple checkered textures all over them and it really looks very ugly. Using Edge Smoothing helps the problem a bit but it also smudges and blurs the whole image. When the sun is down, this problem does not happen.

The dithering problem was always there but nowhere near as noticable before.

People might say that this happens because I have an AMD gpu, that's why I asked a friend of mine who uses GTX 970 to try and see if the same problem happens for him. This is the screenshot he sent me:
