While screwing around in Dayz I had a car battery I was running around with, once I was out of room to hold it I hit "G" to throw it for fun, this caused my character to drop into the unconscious position while still being fine. I could open my inventory and pick up objects ect.

Steps To Reproduce
Using a car battery put it into your had and throw it.
Additional Information
I could not get out of this position until I used a bandage, this was the only thing that worked for me.
