Two Cooking and Drinking Bugs
New, NormalPublic

Description

I was cooking 8 pieces of chicken meat today on the experimental UK-16 server. The fireplace was a simple one with sticks and logs (i.e. not a crafted oven or barrel, nor inside a house's fireplace), and I used the 'attach meat to stick' method to cook the meat. To do this in the most efficient way possible, the meat was stored in a container (first a cooking pot for the first 4, then a protector case for the remaining 4), and placed on the ground by the fire. I would drag the meat from the container, wait until it fully cooked, then place the meat back in the container, then repeat the process.

This process worked fire with the cooking pot, but when I placed the cooking pot full of cooked meat in my pack, and placed the protector case on the ground (with the stick in my hands in the 'pose toward fire' position the entire time), and attached the first piece of chicken meat from the container, the attach action failed without any message, and a 'cold chicken' icon appeared in the top left corner of the screen. I tried again as was able to attach the meat, and here is a screenshot.

This icon remained in the corner of the screen, and even was on the game's login page after I left the server.

When I clicked 'exit,' the game then crashed with a memory error. "Application Error : The instruction at 0x005e9cb8 referenced memory at 0x0000131c. The memory could not be read."

When trying to add the dxdiag and DayZ appdata files (in either rar or zip format), The site is giving me a 'no configured storage engine' error, so I have shared the .rar file over dropbox. link here

The second bug happened just before I logged out of the server, and while I believe it is already a known bug, I'm including it just in case it might, however tangentally, be related.

Once I finished cooking the meat, and placed the containers back in my inventory, I brought the cooking pot back into my hands to drink all the water it contained. When the animation finished, I dragged the pot back to my pack, and it did not appear in my pack. It was stuck in my hands, though the graphic of the cooking pot was missing. It would still display the info for the container when I hovered my mouse over it, but otherwise I could do nothing else with the item.
