I was using a trumpet in the current exp when i noticed that there was no indication whether my gun was already loaded or not.

A quick look into the inspection menu could change that quite neatly:
Some guns - especially those who come with mags or clips - show you if they've been or are loaded, others such as the trumpet e.g. do not.
