AKM disappeared when thrown at closed gate

Description

I was standing directly in front of a closed, metal gate (the kind with two sections). I threw my AKM (in hand) and it moved into the gate and disappeared as it fell. I was unable to find it after canvassing the area.

The AKM had multiple attachments including a composite stock, suppressor, 30 round magazine, and optic.

I too also through my Aug, and it went poof. Appears once you hit G there is no stopping it.
