As stated above. I have found 14 helicopter crash sites, and not a single one had spawned a weapon.

Before you say "hurr, somebody got there before you :^)", I will have you know that at least 9 of those 14 have been intact by other players due to the obscurity of the location and the presence of highly valuable items (60 rnd STANAG mags, hand grenades...).
