Clothing Acting as a Container
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Today I found two clothing items that I wanted to keep at dynamic boat spawns. I am unsure if they both came from the same spawn as I found several during this trip along the coast.

Black Pristine Raincoat
Green Damaged Cargo Pants

Both of these items are acting as containers within my inventory in the same way as a medkit or a protector case. For example, when I clicked the X in the Hands window to remove a Makarov from my hands, the Makarov (having no free inventory space to go into, went into the Black Raincoat which was in my V3S cargo inventory. It should be noted that I had the Gear UI open at this time and the V3S Cargo inventory space was viewable in the vicinity window. I, not expecting this behavior, thought the item had despawned. I later discovered that I could not move the raincoat from the truck inventory to my backpack. After dropping the raincoat from the truck inventory to the ground, I saw that the Makarov was in fact contained within the raincoat which was preventing me from moving the raincoat into my pack.

As of this moment, I am unsure if this bug is related to the specific item itself, where it spawned (probably unlikely), or if it was triggered by manipulating these clothing pieces within the V3S cargo inventory. Both came from a dynamic boat spawn and I do not recall them behaving this way as recently as last week. If I find any other additional information, I will add it here.

EDIT: I just attempted to force the same thing to happen again with another black raincoat that I just found in a shed by ensuring that I had no free inventory space and my FNX in hand. Rather than going into the raincoat as the Makarov had, the FNX went to the ground. This would lend credibility to the idea that this bug has something to do with the V3S Cargo storage.
