Picking up a barrel with open lid causes it to be stuck in characters hands

Description

I dont know the sequence of events which made this happen, but I had to get my friend to kill me and respawn to resolve.

I was carrying a barrel to our base and tried to put it down. Not sure if I tried to throw it or drag my gun onto the hands slot or simply pressed X, but nothing worked.

I could not throw the barrel at all. When I tried to put items into the barrel when it was stuck in my hands, items would be placed into the barrel and I could move around with the barrel attached to my hand. I could punch with the barrel.

Logging did not resolve the issue.

Only way to fix it is to kill the character.

I can confirm Zwan's report. I can upload another video. Additionally, logging in/out and swimming will also not fix this issue. The barrel cannot be thrown (dunno if in Zwan's, only scanned it)

In my case, bug was triggered when I picked up the barrel and my friend opened the lid at the same time. Layman's guess... Barrel is added to hands then it's state changes to the open version.

Maybe getting into/out of vehicles...? It force empties your hand and drops whatever you had if you don't have a place to put it. Didn't have a chance to try that.

Does anyone think this problem is related to the problem when rifles become one handed entities and often locked onto you hand?
