Description

Every time I start Dayz it crash and freezes the whole PC after only a couple of minutes. Only forced reboot will work from this point on.

I have a brand new PC (bought july2015):

OS: Win10 upgraded form Windows 7
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5775C CPU @ 3.30GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
16GB RAM DDR3

Logs attached as a zipped file, with pictures about my PC.

I have tried to uninstall the game and reinstall. I have tried with very low video settings and I have tried with optimal settings from Nvidia Geforce Experience. same result, Crash and freeze.

Nothing helps, crash all the time. Can you please help me???

I have no problem playing other games from Steam, 7DaysToDie, Sniper:Ghost warrior. High video settings and they don't crash.

I have no problems with any other game.

I really need help here with my problem. Im unable to play Dayz because of my problem. I have been trying to fix this problem for weeks now and tried some fixes, like verifying my local files. I even deleted them and reinstalled. I deleted files in \Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\DayZ.

I tried to get on and move on map a little and then close game and then open again, change servers. But after a few minutes play time the game crash and freeze again.

Please help me.

It would be nice if someone took a look at this issue so I can play the game again.

Hello allinone40m.
Have you been able to play the game before on Windows 10, or did the issue appear once switching to win 10?
Regards,
Geez

No, I did not play it on win 10 before.
I only have 25 hours in the game and it was on win7. My son have win10 and can play it with no problems.
Like I wrote my PC is all new.
Can it be Gforce win10 driver or ?
Do you need any other information from me to help ???
I really need this problem to be fixed.
Regards Allinone40m

Same issue here with a brand new MSI laptop (PE70 2QE) with 5th gen Intel i7. It looks like a problem with the new 5th Gen i7 Intel processors. No Windows 10 related issue, I have another notebook with 3rd Gen i7 with Windows 10 which can play without any trouble. I added the minidump log to the ticket. Is there anything else I can help with? The issue occurs everytime, leading to BSOD.

I have been looking around on the other reported issues with "game crash" that has been reported and it looks like that user "Marcoschaap" may have a good point about the issue being related to the 5'th GEN CPU. Its the common nominator in the reported issues/bugs.
Will you look into this ???

Do you launch the game through the Nvidia Geforce Experience as it is shown on the screenshot? If so, please try disabling the GE and run the game through steam. Also, do you use any startup parameters?
Regards,
Geez

I personally always start the game via Steam. No optimalisation via Geforce Experience. Only startup paramaters -nosplash -skipintro. I've also tested -softwareaudio because I suspected the audio Hardware Acceleration but no difference noticed.

I tried both ....the same result and also the same result before I even installed Nvidia Geforce Experience. Same result on all, game crashing.

The only reason I showed a screenshot from Nvidia Geforce Experience is that it was an easy way to show all my PC spec.

I just altered some a setting in the BIOS. Played for the last hour without any problems!!! :-)

Set PCI Latency Timer: to 64 Clocks (was 32) and please try and share your results!!

I didnt know how to make this change in my BIOS, but when I tried to play DayZ after the 0.58 stable then I could play with no crash. I have been playing for a few days now and no crash.

I do get an error when I start, something with 3d PERFORMANCE and when I close the game I get a memory error. Anything you know how to avoid ???

Only if I start it through Nvidia Geforce Experience then it crash.

my system is good, but i have same issue:

i7 4770K
RAM 16GB 1866Mhz
GFX 960 4GB SLI
ASUS Z87-PRO
SSD 512GB OCZ-VERTEX4

allinone40m - try to resolve like this, go to docs dayz.cfg and change this line:

Windowed=0; to Windowed=1;

write file and change attribute to read only.

the run game, then main menu appears press ALT + ENTER to enter full mode, then you can play many hours of game!

i think i solve problem: in startup delete all and write this:

-malloc=system

now no crash! ^)))
