Black hole inventory and vest stacking.
New, WishlistPublic

Description

After clearing a guardhouse I was able to stuff various items into a single vest as long as there was another vest within it. Doing this with a pistol or weapon equipped while filling up your inventory will cause the weapon to "overlap" with the previous items in it's place. If attempted to re-equip the weapon no action will take place and will require you to re-equip the backpack or clothing where the weapon stored. Once equipped, the items that once replace the weapon's space return and causes the weapon to vanish. This took place on a private hive.

so you try to put the weapon in a full inventory. I would expect that the weapon drops on the ground. Or inside a clothing item in your inventory.

Please make sure you are not in a building while retesting it, because the item could drop through the floor or something. Also have no clothing item in your inventory.
Does it still vanish or does it drop?

Oddly enough I've had a similiar situation where I was unable to holster a weapon with space and previously submitted it as an error. I was only able to drop the item after relogging and it proved to be a method of duping. You can check that post as well for more information.

Regarding this post: The weapon could have reappeared on the ground once I swapped the backpacks but I was too far from the original point of change from where it happened. I traveled a good distance before noticing the ability to equip the weapon/it vanished.
