Less "random" player spawns
New, WishlistPublic

Description

Currently, the location that a player will spawn at seems to be selected randomly from all available preset spawn locations. My "feature request" is that each player's spawn location is determined uniquely per player; selected randomly but limited to spawn locations that are out of range distance-wise of the location(s) the player had previously died.

Additional implementation details:

  1. Place a time limit on how long this rule is in affect. If someone dies in Berezino, takes a break from the game for an hour, and logs back in, it's fine if Berezino spawn locations are available to them.
  1. Because player deaths can occur in rapid succession (example: suicide), increase the respawn time gradually for each player individually if deaths occur in rapid succession. The individual player respawn time should gradually return decreased back to the default 30sec over time.

I don't like this idea.

It is much better if every players gets spawned randomly.

DayZ is survival!

I entered this ticket after getting knocked out by a player I had killed less than a minute prior. He (or she) was able to respawn ridiculously close to their location of death.

@Paper26
It's still selected randomly, but better.

bump. I want more people to see this before it disappears with all the other tickets.
